Vibe-a-thon Saigon: one afternoon, everything vibecoded
Four tracks, one rule: ship it. Meet the five winners and three more builds worth a look.
By julley thai
On Sunday 27 September 2026, builders spent one afternoon at WORK X in Saigon turning ideas into live apps. The brief was short: start with something you already use, build what you wish existed, and leave with a link other people can open.

Four tracks, one rule: ship it
Three tracks started from a kind of app people open every day. The fourth was open.
- Daily listening. Music and podcast apps you play on repeat.
- Learning a language. Streak apps and vocab drills.
- Sharing with your closest people. Small circle photo and moment apps.
- Build your own. Already have an idea? Build that instead.
You did not need to know how to code. The tools did the coding. People brought the idea and the taste.
There were no judges either. Builders posted their project as a Launch, tried what the others had shipped, and voted on the Launch League board. One winner per track, plus a special award for the most unhinged idea.

The winners
Daily listening: Segue, by Nimit

The problem. A playlist is just songs in a row: awkward gaps, clashing keys, no build. Making it sound like a real DJ set takes years of practice.
What Nimit built. You pick the songs and a set shape. Segue plans the whole set and mixes it beat matched, in key, landing on every phrase.

Try it: segue.base44.app
Learning a language: SayStrike, by Bernie

The problem. Language apps drill vocabulary but rarely fix how you actually sound. Small things like the three sounds of -ed stay wrong for years.
What Bernie built. Speak to fight. Say each word right to land an attack on TED-REX, the monster that feeds on mispronounced past tense verbs.

Try it: saystrike.base44.app
Sharing with your closest people: GatherGO, by Thanh Huynh Dieu

The problem. Every group chat has a "we should hang out" that never happens. Nobody picks the place, nobody picks the time.
What Thanh built. Find spots worth going to, let the crew vote, and lock a confirmed plan with a time and the people coming.

Try it: gather-go-saigon.base44.app
Build your own: Smile Andy, by Teddy Bui

The problem. We frown at our screens for hours and never notice it.
What Teddy built. Andy reads your face through the webcam. Spot a frown and he offers to cheer you up out loud. The app is built to save nothing.

Try it: smile-andy.base44.app
Most unhinged idea: YellowMiso, by Choi Byeongmin

The problem. Desk Macs have no Touch ID, so you type the same password dozens of times a day.
What Choi built. Look at your Mac and it unlocks. YellowMiso uses the plain webcam, is built to run on the device itself, and can even learn your face in a mask.

Try it: yellowmiso.web.app
Three more builds worth a look
We think you should talk to these builders too.
Real Life Quest, by lawren.chou

The problem. Weekends disappear into scrolling while the city around you goes unexplored.
What lawren.chou built. Real life as side quests: walk 30 minutes in silence, find a hidden alley, visit two museums in a day. Earn XP and keep a streak.

Try it: resilient-real-life-quest.base44.app
Gia Phả Sức Khỏe, by Phong

The problem. Families rarely write down who had which illness, so hereditary risks get noticed too late.
What Phong built. A three generation family health tree that tracks checkups and medical papers, then flags genetic risk across relatives.

Try it: gia-pha-suc-khoe.vercel.app
Enchanted Procure Flow, by Cát Tường

What the winners take home
- $50 more in credits for the build tool they use
- A domain name of their choice
- One month as a Featured Launch on buildtolaunch
- One hour of feedback from experienced builders
Thank you

The Vibe-a-thon was hosted by Julley Thai, Dung Hoang and Nessa, together with our partners UpYouth, Base44, WORK X and Sáng Sao. Base44 backed the afternoon with build credits, and WORK X gave us the room.
Thank you to the builders who showed up and shipped. The projects above are live, so open them, try them, and tell the builders what you think.
Want to ship something of your own? Join buildtolaunch and post your first Launch.
