Community Rules

buildtolaunch exists for students who are actually making something. Every rule below protects one thing: a room where posting unfinished work is normal and honest feedback comes back fast.

You do not need a launched product, a team, or a good idea to belong here. You need to be building.

Post progress before it is finished. A half-working prototype with a question attached is worth more here than a launch announcement three months later.

Say what is broken. “Stuck on auth for two days, here is the error” gets you help. “Excited to share!” gets you nothing.

Read and comment on someone else’s project before asking for eyes on yours. A feed where everyone posts and nobody reads is a wall of billboards.

Criticise the work, never the person. Specific beats nice: “the signup flow lost me at step 3” is useful. “Looks great!” is noise.

• Spam, dropshipping funnels, crypto pitches, or bulk unsolicited promotion.
• Harassment, hate, threats, or targeting a person — here or anywhere else.
• Extra accounts to vote for yourself, farm points, or climb the leaderboard.
• Posting someone else’s work as your own.
• Passing untested AI output off as verified work. Building with AI is normal here; claiming you checked something you did not is not.

Every post and comment has a report action in its menu — spam, harassment, off-topic, or other. It goes to the moderators, not to the person you reported, and they are not told who reported them.

If something breaks these rules, report it and move on. Arguing it out in the replies makes the thread worse for everyone reading it later.

Most of the time a moderator removes the content and tells you which rule it hit. That is the whole consequence, and it is meant as a correction rather than a punishment.

Repeated or deliberate breaches suspend the account: your data stays, your access to member areas does not.

Illegal content, or anything targeting a real person, is removed immediately with no warning first.
