Eight years ago I started my first community, a place for kids in my hometown to learn IELTS without paying city prices. At university I ran events and student meetups, and the same thing kept happening: the people who stayed in a community learned faster and got further than the ones going it alone. Now I'm building my own projects. People ask me, "why build solo?" My answer is: why not? I'm a community and program builder who loves getting people excited about their ideas and helping them turn those ideas into something real. Before buildtolaunch, I worked with student founders at UC Davis to help them grow their startups, and built hands-on programs that got university students building in Vietnam and the US. I'm drawn to creating spaces where people can find their community, try something new, and surprise themselves with what they can make. Now I'm bringing those experiences together through buildtolaunch, to help more students across Southeast Asia discover what they're capable of.

I'm a new-to-building builder who vibe codes stuff every Saturday night. Alongside buildtolaunch, I work on growth with tech startups and start projects with Vietnamese students based in Taiwan. I believe that with today's technology, anyone can build, whether you're in tech or not. And you should be proud of that, instead of getting roasted by some online community. If a solution can solve a personal problem you have, there's a good chance it solves the same problem for someone else too.
Questions, answered.
Do I need a product or an idea to join?
No. Most people arrive with neither. Start with a free course or the Practice tutor, join someone else's Space to see how a project runs, and open your own Space when something starts to itch.
I can't code. Is this still for me?
Yes. It's built for university students in any major, not just computer science. Practice is an AI tutor that walks you through short exercises, and every Space comes with an AI teammate that can help with its tasks.
Does it cost anything, and do I need an invite?
No and no. There is no paid tier and no billing. Signup is open: create an account and you're a member straight away.
I don't have a team. How do I find people to build with?
Browse the member directory and send a connect request, which the other person can accept or decline. Or join a Space directly: some let you in with one click, some ask the owners to approve, some use an invite link.
What happens when I finish something?
You post it to Launch League. A new board opens every Monday at 07:00 Vietnam time, each Space can post one launch a week, and likes count as votes. The week's most-voted launch goes into the Hall of Champions. There are no prizes, just people who saw what you made.
